The roads in Franklin were widely covered in snow, and much less traveled Monday, after the heavy snow Sunday night.
The City of Franklin says it salts and plows main drags and also near hospitals, police and fire departments, as well as any particularly dangerous areas, like hills. However, residential roads generally aren’t treated. That’s because Tennessee just doesn’t see as much snow to spend an exorbitant amount of tax dollars.
Downtown Franklin was relatively quiet, except for one lively business that remained open. Anyone entering Hop House Tennessee Taps received a warm cheer from everyone in the packed bar.
