A bill that would prohibit Tennessee public schools from displaying flags other than the American or state flag was deferred following a heated debate.
The unspoken target of House Bill 1605 is the “Pride Flag” associated with the LGBTQ+ community. The journey from “bill to law” is just getting started but the battle lines are drawn.
