The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says sextortion cases are on the rise and this time they involve children. The agency is encouraging parents to pay close attention to who their kids are communicating with online and even through gaming systems.
FBI Supervisory Special Agent Beth Kreppein says offenders pressure minors into sending sexually explicit content. Then they demand victims to send money or the criminals will leak their inappropriate material to family and friends.
