Lori Alhadeff is a major advocate for Alyssa’s Law, a law that calls for the installation of silent panic alarms in schools that directly link to law enforcement, created after she lost her 14-year-old daughter, Alyssa, to the tragic Parkland school shooting.
The law was put to good use after school resources officers were able to arrive quickly and deescalate a situation at Cookeville High School Tuesday after a student claimed to have a gun.
