A body was recovered from the Cumberland River on Sunday.
Someone spotted a body in the Bells Bend area of the river (MM 173) at 2:40 p.m. on Sunday and called 911. The caller indicated that the body had been in the water for some time.
The Nashville Fire Department said their crews were able to locate and recover the body a little further downstream.
