City leaders worry Downtown crime may deter investors from Memphis

Memphis has poured millions into its riverfront, convention center, and various downtown development projects over the past few years. But all that could be for nothing if the city can’t get control of crime downtown, city council and Memphis Police leaders said during an impromptu discussion Tuesday.
