The Nashville Humane Association is calling on the Middle Tennessee community for help as the shelter has taken in an unprecedented number of homeless puppies since the start of the year, about 11.
“I’ve been doing this for 15 years, and I’ve never seen this amount of puppies come to a shelter in a month,” said NHA Executive Director Laura Baker.
Baker and her team of staffers and volunteers are now working overtime on to find a home for all of these newborn pups, or at least foster care, before resources become too strained.
