Tennessee state tests scores painted a bleak picture with 71% of 8th graders not being proficient in reading and 66% of 8th graders not being proficient in math according to TCAP results.
Tyana Ray has a daughter that’s an incoming 9th grader and Ray says her daughter is below average in both reading and math.
